A summary of each item proposed for public hearing is provided. The text of specific <br />proposals will be sent to the BOCC approximately February 14, 2001; staff will be available <br />to research and answer questions prior to the public hearing. <br />Requests: <br />• 1. Com rehensive Plan Text Amendments <br />a. 1-40/Old NC 86 Economic Development District (to be renamed Hillsborough <br />Area EDD upon adoption) <br />Re-designate properties lying south of Fletcher Road between existing 1-40 / Old <br />NC 86 EDD boundary and NC 86 from Rural Residential to Economic <br />Development. <br />2. Re-designate properties lying between Beckett's Ridge Subdivision and the Olde <br />Mill Business Park and existing 1-40 / Old NC 86 EDD boundary from 20 year <br />transition to Economic Development. <br />b. Create new Hillsborough Area Economic Development District <br />1. Re-designate properties at the interchange of 1-85 / NC 86 from Commercial <br />Industrial Activity Node to Economic Development. <br />2. Re-designate properties at the northeast quadrant of the 1-85 / NC86 interchange <br />from Commercial Industrial Activity Node to Economic Development.
