May 31, 2019 <br /> <br />Tim Smith, PE, PLS <br />Chair <br />Orange County Board of Health <br /> <br />Dear Tim, <br />It is with sincere regret that, for personal reasons, I need to resign my position as a Member-at- <br />Large on the Orange County Board of Health. I do so after much reflection and soul-searching; <br />however, due to numerous back-to-back, medical issues and crises in my immediate family, I <br />have not been able to attend the board meetings in recent months. I deeply appreciate the <br />board’s understanding of my circumstances and your willingness to grant some leeway for me <br />to better determine whether the current situation might be short-term, or on-going. <br />It now appears that the medical issues will be on-going in the foreseeable future. I cannot, in <br />good faith, continue to hold a seat on the board, if I cannot be an active, contributing member, <br />and therefore I am tendering my resignation, effective June 1, 2019. <br />It has been both an honor and a privilege to have served on the Board of Health for one full- <br />term and to have been reappointed for a second term. I have appreciated the opportunity, and <br />I will miss the continued involvement with the board in its role of promoting and advocating for <br />the health and well-being of all the citizens of Orange County. <br />Thank you all so much for your support and encouragement.
