11 <br /> <br />Travis Myren said the charter schools students are up by 88 students, and the number 1 <br />of students in seats is down by 76, which staff believes is driven by an overly aggressive 2 <br />Department of Public Instruction (DPI) projection for CHCCS from last year. He said more 3 <br />students were funded than actually showed up in the seats in CHCCS. He said this happens 4 <br />sometimes. 5 <br />Commissioner Marcoplos said he would find it notable to know how many home 6 <br />schoolers there are, and asked if this number could be provided next year. 7 <br />Dr. Todd Wirt said there were just over 1000 students countywide, last time staff 8 <br />checked.
