The program is designed to maintain youth in the home, while reducing <br /> recidivism, improving parent-child relationship, school motivation, problem-solving skills, <br /> interpersonal skills, and parenting skills. Families participating in the program participate in peer <br /> group sessions for 2 hours that include group discussion and peer and family practice. <br /> COMPONENT ID# COMPONENT INFORMATION <br /> 25769 NAME OF COMPONENT: Parent Teen Solutions Home Visitation <br /> BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The home visitation counseling program provided to at-risk or <br /> delinquent youth (10- 17) and their parent(s) 3 hours per week from 3 to 6 months. Most <br /> families will average 150 days. Program is designed to maintain youth in the home environment <br /> while reducing recidivism, improving parent-child relationships, school motivation, problem- <br /> solving skills, interpersonal skills, and parenting skills.
