(See <br />Attachment 1, column 1) <br /> <br />SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goals are <br />applicable to this item: <br />• GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br />The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br />necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br />themselves and their dependents. <br />• GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br />The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior <br />injuries, gang activity, substance abuse and domestic violence. <br /> <br />Arts Commission – Visitors Bureau Fund <br /> <br />2. The Orange County Arts Commission has received $1,057 in donations. These funds <br />will be used for the Downtown Chapel Hill Artist Residency Program. This budget <br />amendment provides for the receipt of these funds in the Visitors Bureau Fund, outside <br />of the General Fund. (See Attachment 1, column 2) <br /> <br />SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact <br />associated with this item. <br /> <br />Orange County Schools Capital Projects <br /> <br />3. The Orange County Schools Board of Education has requested the repurposing of <br />available funds of $481,801 from the completed Cedar Ridge Auxiliary Gym Capital <br />Project to expand the Agricultural Program at Cedar Ridge High School. These funds <br />will provide for design, site preparation, and an outdoor learning lab. This project will <br />enable the students at Cedar Ridge High School to have similar agriculture <br />opportunities and experiences much like those currently offered at Orange High School. <br />This will occur in conjunction with the classroom addition project and is projected to <br />begin this fall with both projects to be completed by August 2020. This budget <br />amendment provides for the repurposing of available funds, and amends the following <br />School Capital Project Ordinances: <br /> <br /> <br />2
