She said the political climate is energized, and she wants to ensure 11 <br />a smooth process for voters. She said the photo ID is an additional variable. 12 <br />Commissioner Price asked if the figures are based on Saturday and Sunday voting. 13 <br />Rachel Raper said extended Saturday and Sunday hours have been included for the 14 <br />March 3rd presidential preference primary, along with the same number of 5 early voting sites. 15 <br />Commissioner Dorosin referred to “personnel and operating account increases,” and 16 <br />asked if this includes hiring new personnel. 17 <br />Rachel Raper said this is for temporary positions. 18 <br />Commissioner Dorosin referred to the photo ID issue, and asked if the legislation 19 <br />indicates how soon the County must be able to start providing photo IDs. 20 <br />Rachel Raper said her office started providing this service on May 1st. 21 <br />Chair Rich asked if the County will be able to do outreach to educate the community 22 <br />about being able to get a photo ID. 23 <br />Rachel Raper said her office has partnered with the Department on Aging, and will hold 24 <br />outreach events at the senior centers on July 15th and August 8th. She said her office will make 25 <br />a large push after the municipal primary. 26 <br />Commissioner Dorosin said it would be good to have information during the 2019 27 <br />election. 28 <br />Rachel Raper said her office is required to post signage at each check-in station, and on 29 <br />large poster boards. 30 <br />Commissioner Dorosin said he would like to see more outreach besides Aging. 31 <br />Rachel Raper agreed. 32 <br />Commissioner Price asked if there are alternate sites for public meetings, to 33 <br />accommodate more people. 34 <br />Rachel Raper said their meetings where they are considering one-stop hours will be at 35 <br />capacity, and they will look at alternative meeting space. 36 <br />Travis Myren resumed the PowerPoint presentation: 37 <br /> 38 <br />• County Attorney – page 106 39 <br />• Total expenditure budget - $676,032 40 <br />– Increase of $83,609 over FY2018-19 41 <br />• Personnel Addition and Reallocation 42 <br />– Create New 0.5 FTE Staff Attorney Position to Accommodate 43 <br />Loss of Senior Staff Attorney Assigned to Human Rights and 44 <br />Relations 45 <br />– Reallocate 0.5 FTE Administrative Support to Human Rights and 46 <br />Relations from County Attorney 47 <br />– New Net County Cost - $56,035 48 <br />• Temporary Personnel to Cover Employee Leave - $19,200 49 <br />• Major On-going Litigation Increase - $10,000 50
