ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION OF RECOGNITION ON <br />EAST CHAPEL HILL HIGH SCHOOL WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM <br />WINNING THE 2019 STATE 3A CHAMPIONSHIP <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the East Chapel Hill High School Women’s Soccer Team captured the North <br />Carolina High School Athletic Association’s State 3A Championship; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, under the guidance of Coach Austin Collins, the Wildcats compiled a sterling <br />record of 20-2-2 and 13-1 in the Big 3A Conference; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the East Chapel Hill Women’s Soccer program has won four state titles in school <br />history, in 1998, 2000 and 2004 prior to this season; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, through their hard work, dedication, teamwork and commitment, the team and <br />Coach Collins brought honor upon themselves, East Chapel Hill High School, the <br />Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools District and Orange County; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it proclaimed that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />expresses its sincere appreciation and respect to the East Chapel Hill High School <br />Women’s Soccer Team for their outstanding achievement and their inspiration to <br />youth across North Carolina through their dedication, teamwork and athletic <br />prowess. <br /> <br />This the 18th day of June 2019. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />_________________________________ <br />Penny Rich, Chair <br />Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> <br /> <br />2
