I have checked our records and have found no indication that the State Board of Transportation ever took <br /> action to name this road,therefore, approval of the renaming by that board is not necessary.The statute does require that the <br /> County notify NCDOT. A letter to me with BOCC resolution authorizing the change will satisfy this requirement. Also, please note <br /> that based on your description,the SR for this section of Apple Mill is SR 1225.
