Zuber regarding prospective members to attend the facilities reports session is OK. <br />Assisted Facility Reports: <br />• Adorable Senior Living: <br />• Brookdale Meadows: <br />• Carillon Assisted Living: <br />• Carolwoods Retirement Community: Little stated this facility has a country club like environment, we got a chance to <br />speak with residents, most had gone to dinner, no smells and everything was clean and 2 buildings didn’t have correct <br />contact information up for Ombudsman. <br />• Crescent Green: <br />• The Stratford: N. McCormick stated that things had greatly improved, Alzheimer’s care has improved, a big facility and <br />no activities coordinator, Priest comes weekly and they enjoy his visits with the residents. <br />• A, Cox stated that there is a new Activities Director for The Stratford who was a member of the Nursing Home <br />Committee. <br />Family Care Home (<6) Reports: <br />• Cedar Grove Family Care Homes <br />• Charles House: Winmore Eldercare and Yorktown Eldercare <br />• Livewell Assisted Living: Pauline Drive and Elliott Road: A. Brown stated that overall the report is favorable: some Rx <br />powder vitamins were left out in the kitchen on the counter, staff key chain with mace on it was in the kitchen, no call <br />bells (sometimes hand bells are not required in this facility), staff interacting with the staff, unlocked cleaning cabinets. <br />• M. Zuber stated they were redoing the roof at night seemed odd, met Jen the Executive Director had a long <br />conversation with her, visit these once a year, outside of engagement with activities could be a little more unless they <br />learned that most residents are at some stage of dementia. <br />• A. Cox stated the Livewell has homes in 6 Family Care Homes across 3 counties: 2 Chatham (Governor’s Club), 2 <br />Orange County, and 2 Wake County. 5 are Dementia specific. The newer home in Governor’s Club is for residents <br />are more interactive. <br />New Business <br />M. Zuber, Chair <br /> M. Zuber asked if any new business, comments or concerns. <br /> S. Little related to W. Lang’s comment to stay on our task as OCADH Committee Members and advocate for what is <br />best for the residents. Improve Collaboration and Awareness will help us do a better job and partnering with the <br />OCDOA. Volunteer burnout and not sure of their mission. <br /> Updating the volunteer roster and updating who is serving on which committee and when we completed a visit. <br /> A.
