J, W. Hobbs, Commissionezs Clarence Jones, Donald M, Stanford and <br />Henry S, Yfalker. <br />Wembers absent: Commissioner Donald ;rcDade <br />T, A. Eur'ton, L. H. GLnter, --~'%Zngram and 0. S. \Yalters of the State Higtn;ay Department <br />appeared to nr esent the secondary road priority plan for the coming teen year period. !Stet <br />a detailed explaination of the plan by Wr. Eux~ton ar,3 lit. Ingram a copy of the point system <br />rating was filed with the Hoazd giving the nett priority ratings of all roads in the county. <br />;1r. Burton then advised the Boaz~d that once the legislature had set a definite budget for <br />the !3igMray Department he ~.vould then come before the Board and advise than of the program <br />his Depaztment would be able to catty out. <br />Shezziff C, D, Knight reported that the Jailer was about to resign and he was having <br />itfficulty securing a replacement. He recortmended tF.at the 3oard authorize him to hire <br />a Jailer a+no would not have to serve in the capacity of Deputy SherriTf, The Hoard took this <br />natter under advisement and directed Shen iff Knight to see if he could fine a suitable person <br />to fill this position. <br />Commissioner i'lalker moved that Wr s. Ortense Dickson, Tax Collector, be ~'irected to deposit <br />aer collections :rith the Durham Bank & Trust Company of Hi]lsborq 4, C. This motion roceived a <br />second from Commissioner Stanford, Chairman Hobbs called for a vote and there Here 3 ayes -~ <br />and 0 noes.
