ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> County Government Month - April 2019 <br /> " Connecting the Unconnected " <br /> WHEREAS , Orange County is one of 3 , 069 counties in the nation that provide cost- <br /> effective , essential services to create healthy , safe and vibrant communities ; and <br /> WHEREAS , through National Association of Counties ( NACo ) President Greg Cox ' s <br /> " Connecting the Unconnected " initiative , NACo is demonstrating how counties deliver <br /> " people - centered " services to residents ; and <br /> WHEREAS , many Orange County departments offer programs and services that meet this <br /> initiative , including the departments of Health , Housing and Community Development , <br /> Criminal Justice Resources , Social Services , Aging , Sheriff' s Office , Child Support <br /> Services and many more ; and <br /> WHEREAS , Orange County ' s motto is " Our Residents Come First , " which guides our <br /> employees to treat all residents with fairness , respect and understanding ; <br /> NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED THAT we , the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners , do hereby proclaim April 2019 as County Government Month and express <br /> our appreciation to the county employees who make our community such a special place to <br /> live , to work and to raise a family . <br /> This the 16t" day of April , 2019 . <br /> 0 AAN& C�i <br /> Penny Rich , Chair <br /> Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> n <br /> iz �z <br /> °r�E� � �t4��fi0, <br />
