ARTICLE 10 : DEFINITIONS <br /> DEFINITIONS <br /> For he purpose of this Ordinance , certain terms and words are herein defined and interpreted as ollows : <br /> AAS O <br /> American ssociation of State Highway and Transportation Officials . <br /> Accessory tructure <br /> A structure that located on the same lot as a principal structure and houses an acc sory use . <br /> Accessory Use <br /> An activity that may o ay not be listed in the Permitted Use Table , which is c ducted in conjunction <br /> with a permitted princip use , but constitutes only an incidental or insubstanti part of the total activity <br /> that takes place on the lot nd is customary and ancillary to the established rincipal use of property . <br /> Accessory uses shall comp with all setback requirements for the district ' which the use is located . For <br /> example , an in - ground swim g pool is required to meet all applicable etbacks including any required <br /> fencing around the physical poo the concrete walkway around the po , and any pump or utilities <br /> associated with the operation of t facility . <br /> Addition <br /> In the context of an existing building or ructure , the term me s an extension or increase in the floor <br /> area or height . <br /> Adult Arcade <br /> Any place to which the public is permitted or inv ed w rein coin - operated or slug - operated or <br /> electronically , electrically , or mechanically control d till or motion picture machines , projectors , or other <br /> image - producing devices are maintained to show i ges to five or fewer persons per machine at any one <br /> time , and where the images so displayed are dist ' gu hed or characterized by the depicting or describing <br /> of Specified Sexual Activities or Specified An ical A as . <br /> Adult Bookstore <br /> A bookstore : <br /> ( a) Which receives a majority its gross income durin any calendar month from the sale or <br /> rental of publications ( incl ding books , magazines , of er periodicals , videotapes , compact <br /> discs , other photograph ' , electronic , magnetic , digital , r other imaging medium ) which are <br /> distinguished or char terized by their emphasis on matt depicting , describing , or relating <br /> to Specified Sexual ctivities or Specified Anatomical Area as defined in this article ; or <br /> ( b) Having as a prep derance ( either in terms of the weight an importance of the material or in <br /> terms of greater olume of materials ) of its publications ( includi books , magazines , other <br /> periodicals , vi eotapes , compact discs , other photographic , elect nic , magnetic , digital , or <br /> other imagi medium ) which are distinguished or characterized b heir emphasis on matter <br /> depicting , escribing , or relating to Specified Sexual Activities or Spe ' fled Anatomical Areas . <br /> Adult Cabaret <br /> A nightclub , bar , estaurant , theater , concert hall , auditorium or similar commercial esta ishment that for <br /> at least ten per ent of its business hours in any day features : <br /> ( a) ersons who expose a Specified Anatomical Area ; or <br /> Live performances that are characterized by the exposure of Specified Anatomical reas or <br /> by Specified Sexual Activities ; or <br /> ( c ) Films , motion pictures , video cassettes , slides , or other photographic reproductions that re <br /> characterized by the depiction or description of Specified Sexual Activities or Specified <br /> Anatomical Areas ; or <br />
