Article 5 : Uses <br /> Section 5 . 10 : Standards for Telecommunication Facilities <br /> ( b) The proposed additional facility will comply with applica e regulations , <br /> restrictions , or conditions , if any , applied to the initial ' reless facilities <br /> placed on the tower or other wireless support struct e . <br /> ( c) The proposed additional wireless facilities comply ith all federal , State , <br /> and local safety requirements . <br /> ( d ) The proposed additional facility does not exc ed the applicable weight <br /> limits for the wireless support structure . <br /> ( B ) Submitta equirements <br /> All applicatio s for telecommunication facilities that ar eligible for administrative <br /> approval shall e submitted and reviewed in accor nce with the standards of Section <br /> 5 . 10 . 8 of this Or ' ance . <br /> ( C) Neighborhood Info ation Meeting <br /> ( 1 ) For all adminis atively approved wi less support structures , excluding <br /> collocations , a n hborhood info r ation meeting shall be scheduled in <br /> accordance with th provisions Section 5 . 10 . 8 . <br /> 5 . 10 . 7 Antennas Not Located on Wireless ec munications Support Structures <br /> ( A) General Standards <br /> ( 1 ) To minimize adverse sual i acts , stealth antenna types shall be preferred . If <br /> a non - stealth anten is propos d , the application shall be required to <br /> demonstrate , in a chnical mann acceptable to the Planning Director , why the <br /> stealth antenna ' . e . an antenna inc oeated into the architecture of the building <br /> or fully screen d from view from sight roximate to the antenna) cannot be used <br /> for the partic ar application . This does of preclude a combination of the <br /> various ty s of antennas . <br /> (2) Antenn dimensions shall be subject to appr al by the Planning Director . A <br /> state ent shall be submitted , prepared by a pr essional engineer competent to <br /> eva ate antenna choices , to certify the technical eed for the required <br /> di ensions . <br /> (3) rior to the issuance of a Building Permit by the Inspe ions Division , the <br /> application shall provide evidence that the wireless telec munication support <br /> structure or antennas are in compliance with FAA regulatio s . Where an <br /> antenna will not exceed the highest point of the existing struc re upon which it is <br /> to be mounted , such evidence shall not be required . <br /> ( B ) Standards of Evaluation for Stealth Rooftop or Building , Water Tower, or <br /> Transmission Line Mounted Antennas <br /> I ddition to the standards established in Subsection A above , the folio ' g are <br /> apple le to all Stealth Rooftop or Building , Water Tower , or Trans sion Line Mounted <br /> Antennas . <br /> ( 1 ) Antenna hall not exceed 20 feet above the ro e of the building or support <br /> structure , wa tank , or transmission line ; <br /> (2) Commercial adverb ' shall not be wed on an antenna ; <br /> (3) Signals , lights , or illumina ' all not be permitted on an antenna , unless <br /> required by the FCC or t A <br /> (4) Any related unsta equipment bui shall not contain more than 600 square <br /> feet of gross r area per user or excee feet in height ; <br /> ( 5 ) Docu tation shall be required denoting that t erection of an antenna will not <br /> c promise the structural integrity of the building , w r tank , or transmission <br /> ine ; <br /> Orange County, North Carolina — Unified Development Ordinance Page 5 - 116 <br />
