12 <br /> 1 o Department Proposal and Scoring Process <br /> 2 o Preference to Projects where Funding Serves as Local Match or Leverages <br /> 3 Outside Funding <br /> 4 o Projects Approved by the Board of Commissioners <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Commissioner Bedford asked if the mobile dental unit has been ordered. <br /> 7 Travis Myren said it has been ordered, and it should be up and running in July. <br /> 8 Commissioner Dorosin said he appreciated this sustainability bank, and it reminds him of <br /> 9 the social justice fund in its creativity. <br /> 10 Chair Rich said these projects could be worth promoting. <br /> 11 Commissioner Greene said it is also an opportunity for partnerships, and would receive <br /> 12 more interest if well publicized. <br /> 13 Commissioner Price asked if there are criteria on who can apply. <br /> 14 Travis Myren said initially it will only be County departments, similar to what has been <br /> 15 done with the Information Technology Governance Council projects. He said departments <br /> 16 make requests, which are reviewed and scored by the representatives of the functional <br /> 17 leadership team, and the recommended to the BOCC for funding. <br /> 18 Commissioner Price asked if there is source for the matching funds. <br /> 19 Travis Myren said the matching funds are for when the County is applying for a state or <br /> 20 federal grant, and requires a local match or something similar. He resumed the PowerPoint <br /> 21 presentation: <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Vehicle Replacements - $965,550 (p. 53) <br /> 24 o Public Safety Priorities <br /> 25 ■ Sheriff's Office <br /> 26 ■ Animal Control <br /> 27 ■ Ambulance Remount <br /> 28 ■ Administrative Vehicle for Emergency Services <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Commissioner Dorosin asked if this takes into account the selling of old vehicles. <br /> 31 Travis Myren said this represents the expenditures, and when surplus comes in, it goes <br /> 32 back into the vehicle replacement fund.
