17 <br /> 1 Intake -- Assessment -- In-home services -- Permanency Planning (Foster Care) --Adoptions <br /> 2 and Licensing — LINKS <br /> 3 <br /> 4 Court Timelines <br /> 5 • Child Planning Conference —within seven days <br /> 6 • Adjudication Hearing —within 60 days of filing of the petition <br /> 7 • Disposition Hearing —within 30 days of the adjudication hearing <br /> 8 • Review Hearing — at least every six months; typically held every 3 months in Orange <br /> 9 County <br /> 10 • Permanency Planning Hearing —within 12 months of child entering custody; subsequent <br /> 11 hearings at least every six months <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Policy Changes and Requirements: <br /> 14 Assessments <br /> 15 • All children must be interviewed separately from their parents at each contact and a <br /> 16 home visit should occur the same day as initiation <br /> 17 • Social Worker should tour the home and premises where the child sleeps, eats, and <br /> 18 plays <br /> 19 • Must see all children and parent/caretaker at a minimum of twice/monthly <br /> 20 • Must conduct a home visit with the non-resident parent before the child visits if the non- <br /> 21 resident parent is an alleged perpetrator of abuse/neglect <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Policv Changes and Requirements: <br /> 24 In Home Services <br /> 25 Frequency of Contact <br /> 26 o Moderate: must have face-to-face contact with all children and the <br /> 27 parent/caretaker twice per month. One of the contacts must occur in the home. <br /> 28 o High: must have face-to-face contact with all children and the parent/caretaker <br /> 29 weekly. Two of the contacts each month must occur in the home. <br /> 30 • Children must be interviewed separately from their parent/caretaker at each face to face <br /> 31 visit <br /> 32 • Social worker must tour the home once a month to observe where child sleeps, eats, <br /> 33 and plays <br /> 34 • Monthly contact with non-resident parent <br /> 35 • Two collateral contacts per month <br /> 36 <br /> 37 Policv Changes and Requirements: <br /> 38 Permanency Planning <br /> 39 Face to Face Contacts <br /> 40 o Child: within 7 days of entering custody; monthly thereafter in placement <br /> 41 o Parent: once monthly when primary plan is reunification; 3 out of 6 of the <br /> 42 contacts should occur where the parent is residing <br /> 43 o Placement Provider: within 7 days of child's placement; monthly thereafter. All <br /> 44 caretakers in the home at least quarterly <br /> 45 <br /> 46 Policy Changes and Requirements Within 7 Days of Entering Custody <br /> 47 • Non-secure custody hearing (Child Planning Conference) <br /> 48 • Initial medical exam for the child <br /> 49 • First visit with parents <br /> 50 0 Best Interest Determination meeting within 5 school days <br />
