This project is included to reflect the associated <br /> ongoing debt service. The sewer extensions were made in <br /> two distinct areas. The project was made possible by EPA _ <br /> Special Appropriations Grants and also supported by a low n a°5 Central <br /> e Phase f1 Efland E lanen rdl <br /> 3 <br /> interest loan from the NCDENR State Revolving Loan Fund D Phas z <br /> D1 <br /> and the general fund. E1 E <br /> b °1 °z <br /> 1. The Northern Buckhorn portion was an extension of the o wEsr'Es° <br /> City of Mebane's sewer system that serves residents in Maws. <br /> the area along Buckhorn Road between the Interstate I- <br /> 40/85 and the railroad tracks. <br /> 2. The Central Efland (Ph. 2) portion of this project added to <br /> the previously completed Efland Sewer System to 0I.-A oA,o_o <br /> provide sewer service availability to the majority of those <br /> properties requesting service 25 years ago. <br /> Operational Impacts: <br /> 1. North Buckhorn Extension — None; the easements and infrastructure for this section of sewer were <br /> transfer to the City of Mebane in Dec. 2016. Mebane now owns and maintains this as part of their system. <br /> 2. Central Efland Extension (part of the Efland Sewer System) - Orange County still owns and operates this <br /> section through in-house administration and interlocal agreements with the Mebane, Hillsborough and <br /> Orange-Alamance Water System (OAWS).
