They have not approved the installation of smart light controls. <br /> Petition for Commission for the Environment and SWAG Working Together-A representative will <br /> be invited to the next SWAG meeting to talk about any long-term joint recycling ventures. <br /> Orange County& City of Durham Joint Venture-Orange County and the City of Durham have <br /> been looking into doing a joint venture with the recycling tons we both collect to possibly get a <br /> processor in Orange or Durham County. <br /> Hemminger states after visiting a MRF and them stating there is no market for the plastics and <br /> they use the paper for themselves, why would anyone be interested in coming here. <br /> Williams states that while the plastic market is down it hasn't always been that way, there is <br /> some value in plastics. We would save in transportation cost saves them in the long run. We are <br /> looking new technology and opportunities to expand source recycling. <br /> Waste& Recycling Center Utilization—We will be looking at out procedures, speaking to citizens <br /> to see what their needs are. <br /> Interlocal Agreement Recommended Updates <br />
