NCDOT railroad division is all in favor for removing at grade <br /> 608 crossings to better connect Raleigh to Charlotte. The Feasibility Study is geared towards identifying the best way to widen <br /> 609 Buckhorn Road, create a grade separation and connect to US-70 for SPOT purpose. <br /> 610 <br /> 611 Matt Day: Their ultimate goal for that line between Raleigh and Charlotte is to get rid of all the at-grade crossings. <br /> 612 <br /> 613 Heidi Perry: So, assuming the project scored highly and were to get funded, they would have to make that part of the <br /> 614 extension? <br /> 615 <br /> 616 Nish Trivedi:Yes <br /> 617 <br /> 618 Matt Day: Yes.
