Staff Comments and Correspondence <br />Under Separate Cover <br />Concept Plan <br />PURPOSE: To review and take action on a Major Subdivision Concept Plan application proposing a <br />20 lot single-family residential subdivision in accordance with the provisions of Section 2.15 and <br />Article 7 Subdivisions of the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). <br />BACKGROUND: This application was originally submitted as a 27 single-family lot subdivision <br />called “Occoneechee Hills”. Per Section 7.2.3 of the UDO, this request was classified as a Major <br />Subdivision Class A Special Use Permit (SUP) processed in accordance with the provisions of <br />Section 2.7 of the UDO. <br />Upon further analysis and discussion of the proposal, the applicant chose to modify the request <br />reducing the total number of proposed lots to 20 and renaming the project “Fairway Hills.” The <br />resulting reduction in the number of proposed lots changed the classification and review process for <br />the subdivision, which will now be reviewed in accordance with Section 2.15 Major Subdivisions of <br />the UDO.
