A Type B 30-foot buffer shall be provided around the Daycare Confer <br /> Resi.den use and play/exercise area in accordance with Section 6.8.6. <br /> These buffers will effectively screen the view of any outdoor play-area, and <br /> reduce noise associated with the ^hil�,,ld care peration. <br /> (66)(4) Each Daycare Center in a Residence is required to provide at leas minimum of <br /> 75 square feet of outdoor play-space for every ehildclient in care. This space <br /> may not be located in a required buffer or in an area, which is used or reserved <br /> for use as a sewage disposal nitrification field. <br /> M(5) Fencing is to be provided around the outdoor space, which ensures the <br /> protection of the children clients receiving childcare and protects adjacent <br /> residentially developed properties from trespass. <br /> (8)(6) All gates shall be self-closing and self-latching. <br /> (D) Additional Standards of Evaluation —Care of Children and Adolescents <br /> (1) The Center in a Residence is to be located in an area, which is free from <br /> conditions dangerous to the physical and moral welfare of the children.' 5 <br /> 5.8.2 Child Care Facilities <br /> (A) Use Standards <br /> (1) Standards in Commercial and Industrial Districts <br /> (a) At least 100 square feet of outdoor play-_space per child client shall be <br /> provided. <br /> (b) Outdoor play/exercise space shall be fenced or otherwise enclosed on all <br /> sides and shall not include driveways, parking area or land unsuited by <br /> other usage or natural features fl,r^hil,-ro 'S play s All required <br /> fences shall comply with the regulations of this Ordinance. The minimum <br /> height in any case shall be three feet. <br /> (c) The minimum lot area for the first eight children en clients shall be 10,000 <br /> square feet. The minimum additional area for multiples of eight^hill <br /> clients shall be 2,000 square feet. <br /> (B) Standards for-of Evaluation for Class B Special Use Permit <br /> (1) Submittal Requirements <br /> 163 Language has been moved to a new sub-section dealing with specific standards of evaluation for the care of <br /> children and adolescents. <br /> 164 Same as above. <br /> 16s Existing regulations moved from previous section. While staff is uncertain how such a provision can be <br /> enforced we are recommending,at this time,the provision be maintained.
