During our visit, residents were enjoying <br />someone singing at the piano. With <br />regards to the illness of the activities direct, he <br />stated that activities were taking place as usual <br />and were not disrupted. <br />Additionally we talked about: (1) Family <br />members stated that things are good in the <br />facility. 4 residents said that the facility provides <br />great care and that staff are nice. They also said <br />that food is good. (2) The assisted living areas <br />are quite nice, and residents seem generally <br />happy in those parts of the facility. One family <br />mentioned that she was very appreciative of the <br />staff efforts to meet her mother’s increasing <br />needs so that she could age in place and not <br />have to adjust to a move from assisted living.(3) <br />Brookshire is shifting from 8 hour shifts to 12 hour <br />shifts because that will make it easier for staff to <br />coordinate possibly other work that they might do
