OCPYC's <br /> preschools and <br /> provide 2 STEM Box <br /> sessions for children <br /> and caregivers to <br /> enjoy together <br /> during pre school <br /> hours. <br /> All partners Open Access Sunday (2) All partner agencies <br /> attend free days at <br /> the museum. Free <br /> days occur on the <br /> first Sunday of the <br /> month. Dates TBD. <br /> Program Description (3 pages OR LESS) <br /> Please provide the following information about the proposed program: <br /> d) Summarize the program services proposed and how the program will address a <br /> Town/County priority/goal? <br /> Kidzu's proposed program 'Continuing Connections' builds on the successes of last year's <br /> `Community Connections' program and continues to provide enriching out-of-school-time services <br /> for children and families living in under resourced communities throughout Orange County. The <br /> program is, once again, designed to provide a continuum of educational services for children and <br /> families. The programs are as follows: <br /> • STEM Box - Kidzu educators facilitate STEM activities during out-of-school-time community <br /> center based programs <br /> • STEM Night - Kidzu educators facilitate 6-8 STEM stations for children and families to enjoy. <br /> STEM Nights take place off site at community centers or schools or at the museum. STEM <br /> Nights are designed to be early evening family engagement events, giving families the <br /> opportunity to learn and have fun together. <br /> • Learning Focused Field Trips - located at Kidzu, museum educators facilitate learning <br /> focused field trip for summer camp or out of school time groups. Each topic supports <br /> classroom activities. <br /> • Scholarships to Kidzu based summer camps and school's out camps - for partner agencies, <br /> Kidzu's provides 8 scholarships to Kidzu based school's out programs. <br /> • Visitor passes available to children and families of partner agencies - enjoy a free day at the <br /> museum courtesy of a Kidzu visitor pass. <br /> • Open Access Sundays -- free access to Kidzu Children's Museum for children and families <br /> from partner agencies. <br />
