DocuSign Envelope ID:34CC7277-FDAE-4FDE-B006-5BD22283431D <br /> ECS SOUTHEAST, LLP <br /> Cold Formed Metal Framing—Chapter 17,Section 1704.4 <br /> • Observe approved structural materials including framing members, screws, bolts and weld filler <br /> metals are used during fabrication and construction. <br /> • Observe cold formed framing connections for compliance with approved construction <br /> documents. <br /> • Perform continuous or periodic visual and nondestructive examination of welded connections <br /> for compliance with approved construction documents. <br /> • Submit written reports detailing our activities and findings. <br /> Structural Steel—Chapter 17,Section 1704.2 and 3 <br /> • Visit the fabrication shop to review fabrication and quality control procedures. (Unless pre- <br /> approved per AWS and Structural Engineer of Record) <br /> • Observe mill test reports and piece markings on structural members, high-strength bolts and <br /> nuts, and welding electrodes to verify conformance with the project drawings and <br /> specifications. <br /> • Perform visual observation of the welded connections. Fillet welds shall be observed for proper <br /> size and length. <br /> • Observation of high strength bolts for compliance with project drawings and specifications. <br /> • Observe steel framing and bracing to verify conformance with the project structural drawings. <br /> • Observe metal decking materials for type and gauge compliance with project specifications. <br /> • Provide documentation of events in the field and notify the appropriate personnel upon <br /> recognition of deficiencies. Perform the following periodic/continuous inspections as related to <br /> on-site structural steel erection and welded connections: <br /> o Continuous observation of following welded connections: <br /> ■ Complete and partial penetration groove welds <br /> ■ Multi-pass fillet welds <br /> ■ Single pass fillet welds exceeding 5/16 inches <br /> ■ Periodic observation of following welded connections <br /> ■ Single pass fillet welds 5/16 inches or less <br /> ■ Floor and roof deck welds <br /> o Perform ultrasonic or radiation testing to determine quality continuously observed welds as <br /> required by approved construction documents. <br /> Structural Masonry—Chapter 17,Section 1704.5 and 1708.1 <br /> • Provide continuous observations of general masonry construction (cell cleanliness, grout lift <br /> height, on-site mixing/proportioning of mortar and/or grout, consolidation of grout, etc.). <br /> • Observe that masonry contractor is checking the wall for plumbness. <br /> • Observe anchorages and reinforcing steel prior to concrete placement to confirm bar size, grade <br /> of steel, lap splices, clearances, support methods, and cleanliness. <br /> • Observe that contractor is installing embed materials in general accordance with the plans and <br /> specifications. <br /> • Document the general construction of mortarjoints. <br /> • Document the size and type of masonry units. <br /> ECS Proposal 06:21261 <br /> Page 14 <br />
