<br />the sum of $20,000 for public exhibition of the Collection, <br />education and other public purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the District would like to preserve the Quentin W, <br />Patterson Photographic Art Collection to be used for' public <br />exhibit, education and other public purposes including converting <br />the slide show programs to video and RCD to enhance their value <br />and utility for these public purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, County would like to aid in this 4uentin W, <br />Patterson Photographic Art Collection project by agreeing to <br />accept the donation of the Collection and the $20,000 on behalf <br />of the District and to work with the District in the District's <br />efforts to make the Quentin W, Patterson Photographic Art <br />Collection project beneficial to the conservation community and <br />the community at large; and <br />WHEREAS, County and District desire to enter into this <br />agreement to formalize their understanding about the <br />responsibility of each with respect to the Quentin W. Patterson <br />Photographic Art Collection and the $20,000 gift, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, County and District agree: <br />1. County agrees to accept, on behalf of the District, the <br />Quentin W. Patterson Photographic Art Collection and the sum of <br />$20,000 upon their being gifted to Orange County by Evelyn <br />Patterson and to acknowledge these gifts in the name of Quentin <br />2 <br />
