Coordinate sizes of raceways, boxes, and equipment enclosures installed under other <br /> sections with the actual conductors to be installed, including adjustments for conductor sizes <br /> increased for voltage drop. <br /> 2. Coordinate with electrical equipment installed under other sections to provide terminations <br /> suitable for use with the conductors to be installed. <br /> 3. Notify Architect of any conflicts with or deviations from the contract documents. Obtain <br /> direction before proceeding with work. <br /> 1.05 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Product Data: Provide manufacturer's standard catalog pages and data sheets for conductors and <br /> cables, including detailed information on materials, construction, ratings, listings, and available <br /> sizes, configurations, and stranding. <br /> B. Field Quality Control Test Reports. <br /> 1.06 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Conform to requirements of NFPA 70. <br /> B. Product Listing Organization Qualifications: An organization recognized by OSHA as a Nationally <br /> Recognized Testing Laboratory(NRTL) and acceptable to authorities having jurisdiction. <br /> 1.07 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br /> A. Receive, inspect, handle, and store conductors and cables in accordance with manufacturer's <br /> instructions. <br /> 1.08 FIELD CONDITIONS <br /> A. Do not install or otherwise handle thermoplastic-insulated conductors at temperatures lower than <br /> 14 degrees F, unless otherwise permitted by manufacturer's instructions. When installation below <br /> this temperature is unavoidable, notify Architect and obtain direction before proceeding with work. <br /> PART 2 PRODUCTS <br /> 2.01 CONDUCTOR AND CABLE APPLICATIONS <br /> A. Do not use conductors and cables for applications other than as permitted by NFPA 70 and product <br /> listing. <br /> B. Provide single conductor building wire installed in suitable raceway unless otherwise indicated, <br /> permitted, or required. <br /> C. Nonmetallic-sheathed cable is not permitted. <br /> D. Underground feeder and branch-circuit cable is not permitted. <br /> E. Service entrance cable is not permitted. <br /> F. Armored cable is not permitted. <br /> G. Metal-clad cable is permitted only as follows: <br /> 1. Where not otherwise restricted, may be used: <br /> 2.02 CONDUCTOR AND CABLE GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. Provide products that comply with requirements of NFPA 70. <br /> B. Provide products listed, classified, and labeled as suitable for the purpose intended. <br /> C. Provide conductors and cables with lead content less than 300 parts per million. <br /> D. Provide new conductors and cables manufactured not more than one year prior to installation. <br /> E.
