Furnish extra paint materials from the same production run as the materials applied in the quantities described <br /> below. Quantity: Furnish the Owner with extra paint materials in the quantities indicated below: <br /> a. Interior, Low-Luster Acrylic Finish: One case of each color applied. <br /> b. Interior, Semi-Gloss Acrylic Enamel: 2 gal. of each color applied. <br /> 2. Material Compatibility: Provide block fillers, primers, undercoats, and finish-coat materials that are compatible with <br /> one another and the substrates indicated under conditions of service and application, as demonstrated by <br /> manufacturer based on testing and field experience. <br /> B. Material Quality: Provide manufacturer's best-quality paint material of the various coating types specified. Paint- <br /> material containers not displaying manufacturer's product identification will not be acceptable. <br /> 1. Proprietary Names: Use of manufacturer's proprietary product names to designate colors or materials is not <br /> intended to imply that products named are required to be used to the exclusion of equivalent products of <br /> other manufacturers. Furnish manufacturer's material data and certificates of performance for proposed <br /> substitutions. <br /> C. Colors: Match colors indicated by reference to manufacturer's color designations. <br /> D. Green Seal Requirements: All paints used must meet GreenSeal requirements for VOC and chemical component <br /> limits,which are as follows: <br /> 1. The VOC concentrations (in grams per liter) of the product shall not exceed those liter below as determined <br /> by the US Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) Reference Test Method 24. The calculation of VOC shall <br /> exclude water and tinting color added at the point of sale. <br /> a. Interior Coatings; Non Flat: 150 g/l. <br /> b. Interior Coatings; Flat: 50 g/I. <br /> c. Exterior Coatings; Non Flat: 200 g/I. <br /> d. Exterior Coatings; Flat: 100 g/I. <br /> e. All Anti-Corrosive Coatings: 250 g/I. <br /> 2. Chemical Component Limitations-Aromatic Compounds: The product must contain no more than 0.5% by <br /> weight of the sum total of aromatic compounds. Testing for the concentration of these compounds will be <br /> performed if they are determined to be present in the product during a materials audit. <br /> 3.
