This Section includes the following: <br /> 1. Bluestone sills. <br /> B. Related Sections include the following: <br /> 1. <br /> 2. Division 07, Section "Joint Protection" for sealing joints with elastomeric sealants at perimeter of window sill <br /> stools. <br /> 1.2 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Stone Samples for Verification: Sets for each color, grade, finish, and variety of stone required; not less than 12 <br /> inches square. Include 2 or more samples in each set showing the full range of variations in appearance <br /> characteristics expected in completed Work. <br /> 1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Source Limitations: Obtain each type of sill, adhesive, sealant, and other material from a single manufacturer for <br /> each product. <br /> B. Source Limitations for Stone: Obtain each variety of stone, regardless of finish,from a single quarry with resources <br /> to provide materials of consistent quality in appearance and physical properties and to cut and finish material without <br /> delaying the Work. <br /> 1. Obtain each variety of stone from a single quarry,whether specified in this Section or in another Section of the <br /> Specifications. <br /> 1.4 DELIVERY, STORAGE,AND HANDLING <br /> A. Deliver materials to Project Site in undamaged condition. <br /> B. Store and handle materials to prevent deterioration or damage due to moisture,temperature changes,contaminants, <br /> chipping, or other causes. <br /> 1.5 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br /> A. Do not set materials when air temperature or material temperature is below 50 deg F. <br /> B. Maintain minimum ambient temperatures of 50 deg F during installation and for 7 days after completion, unless <br /> higher temperatures are required by fabricator's or supplier's instructions. <br /> PART2 -PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 BLUESTONE <br /> A. Sources: <br /> 1. Blue Bluestone, Goliath Stone Sales, Ltd., 888-423-5175. <br /> 2. Pennsylvania Flagstone, Ostrom Stone Company,800-425-7575. <br /> 3. Comparable sample from other sources. <br /> B. Pattern: Bluestone, blue-gray variety,free of heavy veining. <br /> C. Provide stone that is free of cracks, seams, and starts impairing structural integrity or function. <br /> D. Provide stone from a single quarry for each variety of stone required. <br /> E. Quarry stone in a manner to ensure as-quarried block orientations yield finished stone with required characteristics. <br /> 2.2 ADHESIVES AND SEALANTS <br /> A. General: Use only adhesives formulated for type of installation and recommended by their manufacturer for the <br /> application indicated. <br /> 1. Water-Cleanable Epoxy Adhesive: <br /> a.
