Comply with Carpet and Rug Institute publication CRI 104-Standard For Installation of Commercial Carpet. <br /> Available at the following website address: <br /> B. http://www.carpet-rug.com/drill_down_2.cfm?paqe=6&sub=3&requesttimeout=350. <br /> C. Comply with manufacturer's recommendations and approved shop drawings for seam locations and direction of <br /> carpet; maintain uniformity of carpet location and lay of pile. Follow seaming diagram, which bears the Architects <br /> "Approved as Submitted"stamp. <br /> 1. At Doors: Center seams under doors; do not place seams in traffic direction at doorway. <br /> D. Notice: When moisture tests are too high and schedule demands installation the Contractor may use ReSource <br /> Barrier Coat or other Architect approved surface sealer warranted to stop up to 8 pounds of moisture/1000 sf/24 <br /> hours. <br /> E. Extend carpet under open-bottomed obstructions and under removable flanges and furnishings, and into alcoves <br /> and closets of each space. <br /> F. Provide cut-outs where required, and bind cut edges properly where not concealed by protective edge guards or <br /> overlapping flanges. <br /> G. Install carpet edge guard where edge of carpet is exposed; anchor guards to substrate. <br /> H. Expansion Joints: Do not bridge building expansion joints with carpeting; provide for movement. <br /> 3.4 CLEANING <br /> A. Remove and dispose of debris and unusable scraps. Vacuum carpet using commercial machine with face-beater <br /> element. Remove spots and replace carpet where spots cannot be removed. Remove protruding face yarn using <br /> sharp scissors. <br /> 3.5 PROTECTION <br /> A.
