Main frame rails: not less than 16-gauge 1" [25.4mm] x 1" [25.4mm] seamless welded galvanized steel tubing with <br /> high strength die cast metal corners which are pneumatically inserted into the frame ends with an interference fit. <br /> B. Removable face plate: extruded from 6063-T6 aluminum alloy, .062-inch thick, .212 lbs./ft., shall be attached to the <br /> sides of the main frame using tamper resistant screws. <br /> C. Face Finish: The aluminum faceplates shall be thoroughly cleaned in a 5-step bonderizing process. An <br /> electrostatically applied thermoplastic, polyester powder coating (2.5 mil min. thickness)shall be applied and baked <br /> to a hard mar-resistant finish in one of Kane's standard colors. Coating shall meet or exceed AAMA 2603. <br /> 1. Color: Dark Bronze <br /> D. Infill Finish: The main and infill shall be thoroughly cleaned in a 5-step bonderizing process. An electrostatically <br /> applied black, thermoplastic, polyester powder coating (2.5 mil min. thickness)shall be applied and baked to a hard <br /> mar-resistant finish. Coating shall meet or exceed AAMA 2603. <br /> 1. Wire Cloth: <br /> a. Wire cloth shall be woven 10-mesh to the inch from .047 [1.19] inch diameter Type 304 stainless steel <br /> wire and double crimped. <br /> 2. Perforated Panel: 14 gauge mill galvanealed with 51%open area. <br /> 2.3 COMPONENTS <br /> A. Infill Attachment: <br /> 1. The perforated panel shall be attached to the main frame with hex-head Tek Screws. <br /> 2. Wire cloth shall be hemmed 180 degrees and retained by Hex-head Tek Screws. (for 12 mesh .028 wire cloth <br /> only) <br /> 3. Hex-head Tek screws shall penetrate the infill and main frame approximately 4" [101.6] on center. <br /> PART 3-EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 EXAMINATION <br /> A. Examine areas, with Installer present, for compliance with requirements for installation tolerances and other <br /> conditions affecting performance of storefront systems. Do not proceed with installation until unsatisfactory <br /> conditions have been corrected. <br /> 3.2 INSTALLATION <br /> A. Install in accordance with approved shop drawings and specifications as approved by the manufacturer. <br /> B. Plumb and align faces in a single plane and erect screens square and true, adequately anchored to structure. <br /> C.
