Operable security screens at exterior windows. <br /> B. Related sections include the following: <br /> 1. Division 07, Section "Joint Protection"for joint sealants installed as part of aluminum storefront systems. <br /> 2. Division 08, Section "Aluminum Framed Entrances and Storefronts"for coordination with storefront windows. <br /> 1.2 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Product Data: For each product specified. Include details of construction relative to materials, dimensions of <br /> individual components, profiles, and finishes. <br /> B. Shop Drawings: Show details of fabrication and installation, including plans, elevations, sections, details of <br /> components, provisions for expansion and contraction, and attachments to other work. <br /> C. Samples for Verification: Of each type of exposed finish required in manufacturer's standard sizes. Where finishes <br /> involve normal color and texture variations, include Sample sets showing the full range of variations expected. <br /> D. Letter from storefront manufacturer that system installation is acceptable to the manufacturer and will not void the <br /> warranty of the storefront nor impede the drainage of the storefront. <br /> 1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Installer Qualifications: Engage an experienced installer to assume engineering responsibility and perform work of <br /> this Section who has specialized in installing storefront systems similar to those required for this Project and who is <br /> acceptable to manufacturer. <br /> 1. Engineering Responsibility: Prepare data for storefront systems, including Shop Drawings, based on testing <br /> and engineering analysis of manufacturer's standard units in assemblies similar to those indicated for this <br /> Project. <br /> B. Product Options: Drawings indicate size, profiles, and dimensional requirements of storefront systems and are <br /> based on the specific systems indicated. <br /> 1. Do not modify intended aesthetic effect, as judged solely by Architect, except with Architect's approval and <br /> only to the extent needed to comply with performance requirements. Where modifications are proposed, <br /> submit comprehensive explanatory data to Architect for review. <br /> C. Welding Standards: Comply with applicable provisions of AWS D1.2, "Structural Welding Code--Aluminum." <br /> 1.4 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br /> A. Field Measurements: Verify dimensions by field measurements before fabrication and indicate measurements on <br /> Shop Drawings. Coordinate fabrication schedule with construction progress to avoid delaying the Work. <br /> 1. Established Dimensions: Where field measurements cannot be made without delaying the Work, establish <br /> dimensions and proceed with fabricating systems without field measurements. Coordinate construction to <br /> ensure actual dimensions correspond to established dimensions. <br /> 1.5 WARRANTY <br /> A. The operation of the security screen supplied is warranted for one (1)year against any proven defective material or <br /> parts, as called for in the specifications and approved shop drawings. This warranty does not cover abuse by <br /> others. <br /> PART 2-PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 MANUFACTURERS <br /> A. Product: Level 5 Narrowline Security Screen. Operable. <br /> B. Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide products by one of the following manufacturers <br /> comparable to the basis of design product listed: <br /> 1.
