2 <br /> Appropriated for this project: <br /> Current FY FY 2018-19 FY 2018-19 <br /> 2018-19 Amendment Revised <br /> Professional Services $0 $117,000 $117,000 <br /> Construction $0 $61.000 $61,000 <br /> Total Costs $0 $178,000 $178,000 <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: The initial project budget for containment measures and project design <br /> for the John Link Jr. Government Services Building is $178,000. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goals are applicable <br /> to this item: <br /> • GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior injuries, gang <br /> activity, substance abuse and domestic violence. <br /> • GOAL: ENABLE FULL CIVIC PARTICIPATION <br /> Ensure that Orange County residents are able to engage government through voting and <br /> volunteering by eliminating disparities in participation and barriers to participation. <br /> Repair and reconstruction the Link Government Services building will create a safe working <br /> environment for staff. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board: <br /> 1. Approve the initial project budget to start the initial steps for the design and curative <br /> measures for the John Link, Jr. Government Services Building; and <br /> 2. Approve Budget Amendment #7-D, described above, to finance this unexpected design <br /> work. <br />
