Funding in the amount of $165,221 is <br />authorized with an effective date of July I, 2004, <br /> <br />Theodis Beck <br />Secretary <br />Enclosed you will fmd a complete Criminal .Justice Partnership Grant Package which contains a <br />Grant Awazd Cover Sheet, a Grant Award Contract and an approved Budget, The package also includes a <br />list of requirements/recommendations, all of which are consistent with best practices in community <br />criminal,justice programs. Compliance is requested by October 1, 2004, except for budget and contractual <br />matters, which require an immediate response. <br />Please review the Grant Award Package and inform all relevant parties of their responsibilities. It <br />is necessary that the county's Authorizing Official sign and return the Grant Award Contract to the State <br />Partnership staff (4254 MSC, Raleigh, NC 27699-4254) as soon as possible. The signed contract must be <br />on file in the state office before any reimbursements can be made to the local county program. <br />Please note that in addition to the usual requirements, attached is a separate form, designating <br />official signatures for reimbursement requests, The purpose of this form is to assure that only authorized <br />signatures are on the submitted forms. This should be completed and returned with the signed grant award <br />contract. <br />Again, I join the North Carolina State Criminal Justice Partnership Advisory Board and the <br />Partnership staff in offering congratulations on receiving this grant.
