Letter from Orange Rural <br /> Fire Department <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget and grant project ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2018- <br /> 19. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Department on Aging <br /> 1. Orange County Department on Aging has received the following revenues as outlined <br /> below. <br /> • VITA Funds: The County has received $3,496 in funding through the IRS to <br /> support the cost of the VITA tax assistance service. <br /> • MIPPA Funds: The County has received $6,750 in NCDOI Medicare <br /> Improvements for the Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) funds. These funds <br /> will be used for temporary staff and supplies for the VC55+ division. <br /> • Wellness Program Revenues: The department has received $10,000 in <br /> additional revenues collected through the Wellness class fees. These revenues <br /> will be used to pay instructors and related class expenses, and amends the <br /> following Senior Citizen Health Promotion Wellness Grant Project Ordinance: <br /> Senior Citizen Health Promotion Wellness Grant($10,000) - Project#294303 <br /> Revenues for this project: <br /> Current FY 2018-19 FY 2018-19 <br /> FY 2018-19 Amendment Revised <br /> Senior Citizen Wellness Funds $151,043 $10,000 $161,043 <br /> Total Project Funding $151,043 $10,000 $161,043 <br />
