26 <br /> Describe the collaboration relationship(s) this particular board has with <br /> other advisory boards and commissions? <br /> The OCHA shares an interest in the work of the Orange County Human <br /> Relations Commission and has concurrently serving members on the Affordable <br /> Housing Advisory Board. Several members on OCHA's Board also serve on <br /> boards of other housing organizations in the County. In addition, the OCHA <br /> Board plans to work with the newly expanded and renamed Orange County Local <br /> Government Affordable Housing Collaborative, as well as share input and insight <br /> with the County as it relates to mobile home park closures due to re-development <br /> activities which have become a growing community issue in Orange County. <br /> If your board/commission played the role of an Element Lead Advisory <br /> Board involved in the 2030 Comprehensive Plan preparation process, <br /> please indicate your board's activities/accomplishments as they may relate <br /> to the Comprehensive Plan's goals or objectives. <br /> (The Element Lead Advisory Boards include: Planning Board, EDC, <br /> OUTBoard, Commission for the Environment, Historic Preservation <br /> Commission, Agriculture Preservation Board, Affordable Housing Board, <br /> Recreation and Parks Advisory Council) <br /> n/a <br /> Identify any activities this board/commission expects to carry out in 2019 <br /> as they relate to established BOCC goals and priorities. <br /> If applicable, is there a fiscal impact (i.e., funding, staff time, other <br /> resources) associated with these proposed activities (please list). <br /> The Orange County Housing Authority's Board of Commissioners would like to <br /> work more actively with the Affordable Housing Advisory Board to coordinate <br /> advocacy efforts and with the Orange County Affordable Housing Coalition to <br /> keep its members well-informed about the Housing Choice Voucher Program and <br /> to support their efforts, where possible, in recruiting landlords to participate in the <br /> HCV program. <br /> The OCHA Board would like to develop and distribute educational materials in <br /> this effort and improve on the program's use of social media and digital content <br /> to engage with the community. <br /> Working with staff, the Board will comply with direction from HUD in the <br /> development of protocols for how reporting is presented monthly and the use of <br /> standard procedures for the more formal requirements (resolutions, meeting <br /> notices, content of board packets and publishing materials for the general public). <br /> In conjunction with the Affordable Housing Advisory Board, the OCHA Board <br /> would to review HUD's various voucher programs and identify any opportunities <br /> 3 <br />
