22 <br /> If your board/commission played the role of an Element Lead Advisory Board <br /> involved in the 2030 Comprehensive Plan preparation process, please indicate <br /> your board's activities/accomplishments as they may relate to the <br /> Comprehensive Plan's goals or objectives. <br /> (The Element Lead Advisory Boards include: Planning Board, EDC, OUTBoard, <br /> Commission for the Environment, Historic Preservation Commission, Agriculture <br /> Preservation Board, Affordable Housing Board, Recreation and Parks Advisory <br /> Council) <br /> See the preceding item on "Goals" as it relates to the 2030 Comprehensive <br /> Plan and AHAB's goal for continuing to engage with Orange County's <br /> Planning Board. <br /> Identify any activities this board/commission expects to carry out in 2019 as they <br /> relate to established BOCC goals and priorities. <br /> If applicable, is there a fiscal impact (i.e., funding, staff time, other resources) <br /> associated with these proposed activities (please list). <br /> During 2019, AHAB plans the following activities: <br /> • Sponsor an interactive bus tour that showcases the housing needs <br /> in the unincorporated, as well as incorporated areas of Orange <br /> County. <br /> • Begin designing a resource clearing house, in terms of what people <br /> can use for support in housing and additional sources for non- <br /> profits to seek funding. This activity will be completed over several <br /> years. Phase I will begin in 2019. <br /> • Have various County funding recipients return throughout the <br /> calendar year to provide updates on their progress. <br /> • Explore AHAB members having trauma-informed/mental health first <br /> aid training. <br /> • Expand outreach to the community, such as meeting with <br /> representatives of school and religious institutions; identify <br /> potential partnership opportunities with other affordable housing- <br /> affiliated organizations; and scheduling AHAB meetings at various <br /> locations in the community. <br /> • Have a representative or representatives attend the 2019 NC Housing <br /> Conference. <br /> What are the concerns or emerging issues your board has identified for the <br /> upcoming year that it plans to address, or wishes to bring to the Commissioners' <br /> attention? <br /> The AHAB members expressed the following items as emerging issues: <br /> • Gentrification <br /> 4 <br />
