Lastly, we promote community awareness of the needs of residents in <br /> Orange County's LTC facilities. <br /> What are your Board/Commission's most important accomplishments? <br /> This past year, this committee of volunteers made 21 visits to area long-term care <br /> facilities. We trained and oriented 5 new volunteer committee members, bringing the <br /> total volunteers to nine. We established three new sub-committees and voted in four <br /> new officers. <br /> Most importantly, we continued advocacy efforts on behalf of the residents of these <br /> facilities and homes. On multiple occasions, we have made our mission and volunteer <br /> needs known to the Chapel Hill Eldercare Resources Group. We maintained, or <br /> improved, our relationships with our community providers. The local ombudsman <br /> started e-mailing visitation forms to the administrators for review.
