The FIS <br />report contains an evaluation and determination of flood hazards and corresponding flood <br />profiles as well as FIRMS and FBFMs, if published. <br />Floodplaiu or Flood Pror:e Area means any land area susceptible to being inundated <br />water from any source. <br />Flaodpaaur: Adn:irristr•ator is the individual appointed to administer and enforce the floodplain <br />management r~ulations. <br />Floodplaiu Mana~entent means the operation of an overall program of corrective and <br />preventive measures for reducing flood damage and preserving and enhancing, where possible, <br />natural resources in the floodplain including but not limited to emergency preparedness plans, <br />flood control works floodplain management regulations and open space plans. <br />F_loodplair: Re~ulatiorrs means this Ordinance and other zoning ordinances, subdivision <br />regulations building codes health regulations special purpose ordinances and other applications <br />of police power which control development in flood prone areas This term describes federal <br />Flood Pr°oofrr,~ means any combination of structural and nonstructural additions, changes, <br />or adjustments to structures which reduce or eliminate risk of flood damage to real estate or <br />improved real property water and sanitation facilities, or structures with their contents. <br />Floodway means the channel of a river or other watercourse and the adjacent land areas that must <br />be reserved in order to discharge the base flood without cumulatively increasing the water surface <br />elevation more than one (1) foot.
