Convey Smart Growth for Schools principles to the Chapel Hill - Carrboro City Schools <br />(CHCCS) <br />2. Ask CHCCS for a timetable for the construction and opening of the planned Elementary <br />School #10, as well as any infrastructure construction estimates generated to date <br />3. Create an alternative design scenario, with a focus on smart growth for school <br />construction and sharing of facilities <br />4. Hold an open house /public input session on the plans for the site <br />5. Prepare a report evaluating projected water and sewer demand from the site, and <br />develop park construction cost estimates <br />6. Discuss with Chapel Hill Transit potential future service to the site (both park and <br />educational campus), and <br />7. Begin the process of preparing a Conditional Use Permit application for submittal to the <br />Town of Carrboro <br />Since that time, staff has worked to complete these actions, and reports the following progress <br />to date (covered in greater detail in the attached memorandum): <br />A. The Smart Growth for Schools principles were conveyed in June. Based on the Debt <br />Issuance Schedule that the Board reviewed on October 25th, Elementary #10 would open <br />
