NCDOT Petition Information for Oak <br /> Crest Drive, Booth Road Extension, <br /> Ridge View Lane, and Cedar Run <br /> Lane in Oak Crest Subdivision <br /> PURPOSE: To make a recommendation to the North Carolina Department of Transportation <br /> (NCDOT), and the North Carolina Board of Transportation (NC BOT), concerning a petition to <br /> add Oak Crest Drive, Booth Road Extension, Ridge View Lane, and Cedar Run Lane in Oak <br /> Crest Subdivision to the State Maintained Secondary Road System. <br /> BACKGROUND: This request includes a petition for four (4) road additions to the State <br /> Maintained Secondary Road System. The roads and their respective lengths and widths are as <br /> follows: <br /> Road Name Length in Miles Number of Frontage Pavement/Right-of-way <br /> Lots with Houses Widths in Feet <br /> Oak Crest Drive 0.70 14 18/50 <br /> Booth Road Extension 0.50 11 20/50 <br /> Ridge View Lane 0.10 5 18/50 <br /> Cedar Run Lane 0.07 5 18/50 <br /> Total 1.37 35 N/A <br /> Oak Crest Subdivision is located in the Rural Buffer, east of Comet Trail Subdivision and west of <br /> Heritage Hills Subdivision, just north of the Chatham County line in Chapel Hill Township <br /> (Attachment 1). Oak Crest Subdivision was approved on June 6, 1988. The single family <br /> residential subdivision is located within Orange County's planning jurisdiction, and was <br /> developed and approved subject to the County's zoning and subdivision regulations. There is no <br /> known subdivision violation associated with the subdivision. <br />
