Staff plans <br /> to bring recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners in a future BOCC meeting for <br /> closing out completed school and county capital projects. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact <br /> associated with this item. <br /> Department on Aging — Technical Amendment <br /> 7. This technical amendment provides for the transfer of Home and Community Care Block <br /> Grant (HCCBG) funds of $60,081 from Orange County Public Transportation (OCPT) to <br /> the Department on Aging to cover the cost of the Occupational Therapist and Human <br /> Services Coordinator positions for the remainder of FY 2018-19. OCPT now receives <br /> funds through State funds for their urbanized routes, so these HCCBG funds can be <br /> moved to the Department on Aging to cover the on-going cost of these positions. Note: <br /> Budget Amendment #1, approved on September 4, 2018, included the receipt of funds <br /> sufficient to cover these position costs through January 31, 2019. For the upcoming FY <br /> 2019-20 budget and future budgets, these revenues will be included in the Department <br /> on Aging's budget. This budget amendment provides for the transfer of these funds <br /> between the two departments in FY 2018-19. (See Attachment 1, column 7) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goals is <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br /> necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br /> themselves and their dependents. <br /> Human Services — Non-Departmental <br /> 8. At its February 5, 2019 meeting, the Board of County Commissioners approved an <br /> appropriation totaling $100,000 from available Social Justice Reserve funds to be used <br /> for Food and Nutrition Services. This supplemental funding is intended to be used if the <br /> demand is greater than the capacity of the existing food services to meet the needs of <br /> food program participants impacted by the Federal Government shutdown.
