04/12/2005 13:14 9196442390 TOWN HALL PAGE 02 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING AN APPOINTMENT <br />TO AN EXTRATERRITORIAL TURISDICTION SEAT <br />ON THE HILLSBOROUGH PLANNTIdG BOARD <br />WHEREAS, as a result of the end of a tam, it is necessary to appoim a person to a seat reserved <br />on the Hillsborough Planning Board for persons residing within the town's exhaterritorial <br />Planning jurisdiction; and <br />WFIEREAS, by state statutc and town ordinance, the Orange County Hoard of Commissioners <br />initially has the authority and responsibility to appoind ET7 members to the town's Planning <br />Board. <br />NOW, T'IIEREFORE, THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF TFIE TOWN OF <br />HII,LSBOROLTGH RESOLVES: <br />Section 1. The Orange County Board of Commissioners is respectfully requested to <br />appoirrt thc following individual to a full tens of en ET7 seat on the Hillsborough Planning <br />Board, whose term would expire in Aptil 30, 2008: <br />Arthur Jones <br />406 Rock Garden Ln <br />Fillsborough, NC 27278 <br />Section 2. If the Orange County Board of Commissioners fails to appoint persons <br />willing to serve in the capacity descn"bed above within 90 days after receiving this resolution, <br />then the Iiilisbomugh Town Board may make this appo;nhrrent <br />Section 3. The Town Clerk shall send a copy of this resolution to the Orange County <br />Section 4.
