System resiliency, emergency response <br /> In the latter part of 2018, OWASA responded to three emergencies, accelerating existing plans <br /> and new initiatives to increase system resiliency. OWASA provided continuous water and <br /> wastewater service throughout two hurricanes: Florence in September and Michael in October. <br /> In November, a water main break on Jones Ferry Road in Carrboro resulted in system-wide <br /> conservation and boil water advisory.
