Alavi, P.E. <br />Transportation Planning Branch <br />Guidelines for the CMAQ Project Selection Process <br />As you may know, Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality's (CMAQ's) primary purpose <br />is to fund transportation projects and programs in non- attainment and maintenance areas, <br />which reduce transportation- related emissions. In order to facilitate coordination and <br />cooperation with the MPOs and RPOs, we have developed new guidelines for the CMAQ <br />application and project selection process.
