The BOCC will receive the consultant's report on the CTIP at its second meeting in December. <br />The reason far bringing this grant application forward ahead of the Board's consideration of the <br />CTIP is because the signed grant documents are due to the State no later than November 19, <br />A public hearing is required with opportunities for public discussion and comments before the <br />Board takes action on the Memorandum of Understanding, <br />The Chair also asked that OPT include as information the NCDOT memo regarding <br />transportation of riders to the polls, <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: The NCDOT Community Transportation Program Grant requires a 15% <br />local match for administrative funding of $26,713 and a 10% local match for capital funding of <br />$4,500. The total County match is $31,213, <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board <br />1. Conduct a public hearing to receive public comments on the proposed grant application; <br />2, Approve the Community Transportation Program Grant application far FY 2005-2006 in the <br />total amount of $223,086; <br />Authorize the Chair to sign the Community Transportation Program Memorandum of <br />Understanding. <br />
