The farm operation is comprised of <br />beef cattle, corn, soybeans, grain, hay crops, pasture, and managed forestry/woodland. Kirk <br />Farms has been evaluated against each of the VAD certification requirement standards and <br />meets or exceeds all of the measures above. <br />3) The owners of the Donald and Faye Pope Farm have submitted an application to enroll <br />three (3) parcels of land totaling 268.63 acres, located in the Cedar Grove Community on <br />Efland -Cedar Grove Road and Highway 86 North, as qualifying farmland for the Voluntary <br />Agricultural District (VAD) program (Cedar Grove Agricultural District). The farm operation is <br />comprised of beef cattle, pasture, organic tobacco, grain, hay crops, and managed <br />forestry/woodland. The Donald and Faye Pope Farm has been evaluated against each of the <br />VAD certification requirement standards and meets or exceeds all of the measures above. <br />4) The owners of the John Pope Farms, LLC (John H. (Jr.)and Kimberly Pope) have submitted <br />an application to enroll two (2) parcels of land totaling 75.27 acres, located in the Cedar Grove <br />Community on Hurdle Mills Road and Stewart Farm Road, as qualifying farmland for the <br />Voluntary Agricultural District (VAD) program (Cedar Grove Agricultural District). The farm <br />operation is comprised of poultry, tobacco, grain, hay crops, and managed forestry/woodland. <br />John Pope has an additional 65 acres of farmland currently in the VAD program. John Pope <br />Farms, LLC has been evaluated against each of the VAD certification requirement standards <br />and meets or exceeds all of the measures above. <br />5) The owner of the Betty Walters Hill Farm has submitted an application to enroll one (1) <br />parcel of land totaling 34.83 acres, located in the High Rock Community on High Rock Road, as <br />qualifying farmland for the Voluntary Agricultural District (VAD) program (High Rock /Efland <br />Agricultural District). The farm operation is comprised of beef cattle and pasture, hay crops and <br />forestry/woodland. The Betty Walters Hill Farm has been evaluated against each of the VAD <br />certification requirement standards and meets or exceeds all of the measures above. <br />6) The owners of the Fickle Creek Farm (Noah Ranells and Ben Bergmann) have submitted an <br />application to revise and add acreage for four (4) parcels of land totaling 154.45 acres, located <br />in the Buckhorn and High Rock communities on Buckhorn Road and High Rock Road, as <br />qualifying farmland for both the Voluntary and Enhanced Voluntary Agricultural District <br />(VAD /EVAD) program (Cane Creek /Buckhorn and High Rock /Efland Agricultural Districts). <br />Fickle Creek Farm has requested to revise acreage in the program. Two (2) parcels of land <br />totaling 131.78 acres will be enrolled in the EVAD. Two (2) parcels of land totaling 17.73 acres <br />will be enrolled in the VAD. The farm is very diverse; including beef cattle, hogs, chickens, and <br />produce /vegetable crops grown for farmers markets, restaurants, and farm market sales. The <br />farm also includes pastures and managed forestry/woodland acres. Fickle Creek Farm has <br />been evaluated against each of the VAD and EVAD certification requirement standards and <br />meets or exceeds all of the measures above. <br />7) REVISION: The owners of the Allan and Christine Green Farm have submitted an <br />application to revise the approved (May 7, 2013) VAD application to EVAD and enroll one (1) <br />
