-2- <br />• Each department head is responsible for assuring that expenditures for temporary <br />staff are within the funds available. <br />Temporary Staffing <br />The chart below shows the number of temporary appointments currently existing on the <br />County's payroll system. Please note that this does not represent the number of <br />temporary employees actually working each workweek since many of these are <br />employees who are available on a call in, substitute, seasonal or other periodic basis <br />such as in Emergency Transportation to assure adequate coverage can be maintained <br />24 hours a day for seven days a week. These are the expenditures from all fund <br />sources (County general fund and others).
