He said the agencies, to which they give, support their <br /> 5 cause and they are rarely motivated by profit. He said there are deep ties to the community by <br /> 6 being responsible sellers to those that are served. <br /> 7 Tony Dubois said the Carrboro ABC store has been completely remodeled this past <br /> 8 year, and in 2019 the store in Hillsborough will be moved to a different location. <br /> 9 Commissioner Dorosin asked if there is a method to determine how much funding the <br /> 10 police departments get. <br /> 11 Tony Dubois said the departments submit funding requests, and the allocations are <br /> 12 based off of that. <br /> 13 Commissioner Dorosin said he has heard talk about changes in the state regulatory <br /> 14 structure, and asked if Tony Dubois has any sense of what may happen. <br /> 15 Tony Dubois said he expects that the state structure would remain the same, and the <br /> 16 main issue is how it is sold locally, which is out of their hands. He said they like the way it <br /> 17 works now as it helps the community and has a local impact. He said other states that have <br /> 18 privatized have seen prices sky rocket, outlets increase five fold, and a sharp increase in theft. <br /> 19 Commissioner Dorosin expressed appreciation for the increase in funding coming back <br /> 20 to the County, and he brought this up when he came onto the Board. He said the funding to <br /> 21 other local organizations is also wonderful. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 e.
