5 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 WHEREAS, Hannah Preisser won the individual state championship, becoming the seventh <br /> 3 Jaguars runner to win an individual state title; and <br /> 4 <br /> 5 WHEREAS, through hard work, dedication, teamwork, and commitment, the team brought <br /> 6 honor upon themselves, Carrboro High School, the Chapel Hill/Carrboro City <br /> 7 Schools District and Orange County; <br /> 8 <br /> 9 NOW, THEREFORE, be it proclaimed that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> 10 expresses its sincere appreciation and respect for the Carrboro High School <br /> 11 Women's Cross Country Team and Coach O'Grady for their outstanding <br /> 12 achievement, and their inspiration to youth across North Carolina through their <br /> 13 dedication, teamwork, and athletic prowess. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 This the 22nd day of January 2019. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 A motion was made by Commissioner Bedford, seconded by Commissioner Price for the <br /> 18 Board to approve and authorize the Chair to sign a proclamation recognizing the Carrboro High <br /> 19 School Women's Cross Country Team and Coach Mimi O'Grady for winning the 2018 State <br /> 20 Championship and the players and coaches for representing the community with the highest <br /> 21 ideals of sportsmanship and integrity. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 24 <br /> 25 b.
