Future Farmers of America (FFA) Association's annual Livestock Evaluation Career <br /> Development Event (CDE), which was held November 27, 2018 at the Hunt Horse Complex at <br /> the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. The team finished first out of the 89 schools and qualified for <br /> the national championship competition, which will be held in October 2019. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with this item. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There are no Orange County Social Justice Goal impacts <br /> associated with this item. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve and authorize the <br /> Chair to sign the proclamation recognizing the students and faculty advisor for winning the <br /> competition, representing the community and school and wishing them great success in the <br /> nationwide competition this fall. <br />
