As such I would like to do my part to preserve and enhance the distinctive qualities <br />of Cahpel Hill, I believe strongly in the need to strike the appropriate balance between <br />development and preservation. While I strong disaggree with those who view <br />development as inherently detrimental, 1 woul d also oppose developers whose plans did <br />not enhance the appeal of our community, I feel that I am uniquely qualified in this <br />realm. For the last five years I have been on the board of directors for one on the largest <br />real estate developments that have affected the town in which I grew up. I am very <br />proud of the work we have done to preserve the small town nature of the area in which <br />we have operated while at the same time adding higher value, large home sites with <br />tasteful homes, Overall, our efforts have improved real estate values, aesthetics and the <br />tax base of the town. I believe that I cuold use my experiece to benefit the town of <br />Chapel Hill and the broader community. Thank you for your consideration.
